I was born and raised in New York and have always had a deep passion for wellness of all forms, whether it be art, dance, music, fitness, nutrition, makeup or skincare! I have suffered with hormonal acne my entire life. I had tried every topical medication under the sun from different dermatologists. I knew it was a deeper issue than a skin sensitizing cream could ever fix. Thus I entered my phase as a skincare fanatic, trying all the new acne products on the market. After College, I attended Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, had my first facial in the clinic and my world and whole life changed for the better before I knew it. I knew I HAD to give back and help those with acne and other skin conditions to enhance their confidence, comfort and quality of life.

In College, I studied Classical History of the Western World and deeply focused on the way cosmetics, skincare and wellness were implemented is deeply in cultures throughout history. As I worked as a NY Licensed Esthetician and freelance makeup artist part time, I obtained a Master’s degree from Parsons with a focus on Material Culture with a focus on Cosmetics as a Ritual in the 18-21st century. After 5 years as a licensed professional with experience in holistic spas, day spas, laser spas and waxing centers, I accepted a position as a Manager of a brow boutique. I opened up Skin By Ariana LLC just 2 years later!
